Paint Rage! Aaaaaaaaagh!

This is something that really gets on my tits. A named colour in two paint ranges by the same manufacturer with entirely different hues.

I'd like to think that I could spray a model in VMA Middlestone, and then if need be, touch it up with VMC Middlestone, and I don't think that's too high a bar to set. This is just shoddy laziness.

  1. It might be due to how the pigments are laid. Light will refract at different angles when hitting pigments that have been sprayed on versus brushed on.

  2. well that is annoying!

On the plus side, maybe you could use the brush on as a first highlight for the sprayed color?

  3. It gives the lie to the whole "authentic colours" thing doesn't it?

    Regards, Chris.
